A square has been created in Carnikava where residents can gather on Latvian national holidays and other important events. In the center of the festival square is the sculpture of sculptor Vilnius Titan – the image carved in granite symbolizes not giving up, eternal rising and moving on.
The territory of the festival square is well-maintained, it is located on the left bank of the Gauja, bordering the dam and Stacijas Street.
There is even a free parking lot (Stacijas iela 21) where you can conveniently park your car to go for a walk along the Gauja promenade, which stretches from the Pedestrian-Bicycle Bridge (Stacijas iela 23) all the way to the Carnikavas promenade (Laivu iela 2).
There is also a modern gray wooden building – Boat House – next to the Festival Square. Since the tragic burning of the Carnikava church, the local Lutheran congregation has been gathering there to hold religious services.
