Taka no Garkalnes līdz Kalngalei ved cauri priežu mežiem un dabas teritorijām, kas daļēji atrodas arī Ādažu novada teritorijā. Maršruta sākums ir pie Garkalnes dzelzceļa stacijas, un tā kopējais garums ir aptuveni 20 km. Taka piemērota pārgājieniem dabā, tās sarežģītības pakāpe vērtējama kā samērā sarežģīta.
Maršruta laikā iespējams iepazīt mežu ainavu un bagātīgu dabas daudzveidību. Daļa takas ved cauri īpaši aizsargājamām dabas teritorijām – dabas parkam “Piejūra” un dabas liegumam “Garkalnes meži”, kur sastopamas vairākas retas putnu sugas.
Ādažu novada teritorijā maršruts ved cauri Alderu ciemam, kur iespējams ieplānot nelielu atpūtas pauzi Alderu pludmalē pie Mazā Baltezera, kā arī iepazīt Aldera parka stāstu un apskatīt parka stādījumus. Turpinot maršrutu Kalngales virzienā, iespējams apmeklēt arī Baltezera kokaudzētavu, kur var iepazīt plašo stādu daudzveidību un izbaudīt dārza īpašo atmosfēru. Netālu no Kalngales pieejama Putnu parka atpūtas vieta ar ugunskura zonu. Savukārt Kalngales pludmales apkārtnē iespējams doties pastaigā pa Rožu kāpas maršrutu, kas aizved līdz jūrai.
Ērtākais veids, kā nokļūt līdz takas sākumam pie Garkalnes dzelzceļa stacijas, ir ar vilcienu, izmantojot maršrutus Rīga–Sigulda, Rīga–Valmiera vai Rīga–Valga.
Taka ir piemērota dabas baudītājiem un pārgājienu entuziastiem, kuri vēlas izzināt Ādažu novada apkārtnes mežus un piejūras dabas ainavas.

Rose Dune in Kalngale
