“Gaujmale” Retreat House

The Retreat House is located on the banks of the Gauja River, surrounded by pine forest, less than an hour’s drive from the centre of Riga. The house is designed for retreats, seminars, and various group events. The building features a spacious, round-shaped hall for activities and events, as well as a living area where guests can enjoy meals and relax. Guests also have access to a large outdoor terrace overlooking the Gauja River and the surrounding grounds, which are ideal for walks and relaxation in nature. The Retreat House is suitable for multi-day retreats and seminars, masterclasses, training sessions, team-building events, and other group activities. Accommodation is also available. The house is designed as a peaceful place away from the daily routine, providing a suitable environment for various activities and events.

Alcoholic beverages may not be brought onto or consumed on the premises of the Retreat House.

Retreat House Facilities and Activities

The Retreat House is suitable for organising various group events and activities. It can host retreats and various practices, seminars and corporate events, as well as gatherings for families and friends. The facilities are also suitable for yoga, meditation and breathing sessions, women’s and men’s circles, ceremonies, rituals, and other group events.

Facilities and Equipment

The Retreat House features an approximately 100 m² round-shaped activity hall. A lounge and dining room is available for relaxation and meals, with space for up to 30 chairs and the required number of tables, depending on the event format.

For guests’ comfort, there is a spacious outdoor terrace with a lounge sofa, as well as three separate bedrooms on the first floor. The second floor features a spacious sleeping area with 15 mattresses and bed linen.

The kitchen is equipped with the necessary facilities for food preparation. A chef can be arranged for event catering by prior agreement. Guests have access to tableware, cups, glasses, cutlery, and serving dishes for up to 35 people.

A variety of musical and sound instruments are available for activities and events, including djembes, shambungas, singing bowls, tongue drums, bells, rainsticks, and shakers. A Bluetooth music player is also available.

The house is equipped with toilets and showers. The surrounding grounds include walking areas, a fire pit with a fire cauldron, and a large swing. Parking is available in a designated area of the property.

Additionally, 33 mattresses, each 7 cm thick, are available and can be placed along the walls of the activity hall. Blankets and larger pillows are also available for sleeping or back support.

Accommodation and Catering

Accommodation and full catering can be provided for events. Catering can be arranged using the house kitchen or by prior agreement, a chef can be hired for the event.

Venue Rental Rates

Weekends (Friday–Sunday):

  • day event – EUR 25 per person, minimum fee EUR 500;
  • event with overnight stay – EUR 35 per person, minimum fee EUR 700;
  • entire weekend – EUR 75 per person, minimum fee EUR 1,500.

Weekdays (Monday–Thursday):

  • day event – EUR 20 per person, minimum fee EUR 400;
  • event with overnight stay – EUR 30 per person, minimum fee EUR 600.

In certain cases, such as for small groups, non-profit or charity events, or long-term cooperation, a different rate can be agreed upon.

A 50% advance payment is required to confirm the reservation.
