The ethnographic guest house “Gungas” is located in Ādaži Municipality, nestled in a pine forest on the shores of Lake Dūņezers. The guest complex consists of five authentic log houses brought from different regions of Latvia, preserving the features of traditional Latvian architecture and way of life.

At Gungas, historical heritage is combined with modern comforts, offering accommodation and leisure opportunities close to nature. The guest house is suitable for individual stays as well as celebrations organised for families and groups of friends. The venues and surrounding area are also used for weddings, seminars, and corporate events.

Gungas also offers the opportunity to organise traditional Latvian seasonal celebrations and other festivities, incorporating elements of ethnographic traditions and folklore.

The guest house is located approximately 30 km from the centre of Riga and approximately 10 km from the sea.

Private Events

Individual houses or the entire property can be rented for your celebrations in a unique setting.

Weddings

Weddings and wedding celebrations can be organised at Gungas, including traditional Latvian weddings featuring rituals and customs rooted in Latvian folklore and traditions. The guest house currently does not offer florist or catering services, but recommendations for trusted partners can be provided upon request, based on previous experience. Traditional Latvian weddings can incorporate a variety of wedding rituals and customs. The guest house can assist with planning and organising this type of wedding celebration.

Seminars and Creative Workshops

Gungas offers the opportunity to organise various types of classes, creative workshops, and events surrounded by nature. The guest house facilities and surrounding area are suitable for both peaceful individual sessions and group events.
