People with mobility impairments can also enjoy walks in nature, relax by the water, and explore local tourist attractions.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To provide greater accessibility, \u0100da\u017ei Municipality is developing accessible tourism infrastructure and offering specially adapted solutions for people with mobility impairments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hiking Wheelchair and Wheelchair Transport Bicycle<\/mark><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Special equipment is available for people with mobility difficulties and their companions, making it possible to enjoy nature and outdoor activities.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Jo\u00eblette Finisher hiking wheelchair<\/strong> is designed for hiking on forest trails, including areas within the Piej\u016bra Nature Park. The wheelchair has one large, movable front wheel that helps it navigate uneven trails, roots, and sand. It is designed to be used with the assistance of a companion or assistant and is not intended for independent use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Van Raam Velo Plus wheelchair transport bicycle<\/strong> provides an opportunity for wheelchair users to enjoy a cycling trip together on smoother roads. The wheelchair, together with the user, can be placed on the bicycle\u2019s front platform, eliminating the need to transfer the person from their wheelchair. The bicycle is operated by an assistant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both mobility devices are available free of charge<\/strong> with advance reservation at the Carnikava Local History Centre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u0100da\u017ei Municipality continues to improve the accessibility of tourism infrastructure. Solutions are being explored to make it easier for people with functional impairments to access the water, use recreational areas, and enjoy the municipality\u2019s natural attractions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For example, accessibility improvements to water tourism infrastructure in Carnikava are planned, including around Laivu Street 2 and Jomas Street 7. The planned solutions aim to provide easier access to piers and safer boarding of boats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
